Frequently Asked Questions

A short-shifter is an upgrade that dramatically cuts down the distance you need to move the gear lever between gears, often by 30, 40, even 50 % compared to the factory setup. It replaces or modifies the stock shifter so every shift happens faster, with less arm movement and a much more direct, mechanical feel.

Why do you need one? Because once you experience it, shifting a normal manual feels slow and lazy forever. With a good short-shifter installed, you can rip through the gears quicker than ever, which means better acceleration in spirited driving, faster lap times on track, and that addictive “race-car” sensation every single time you drive. The whole car instantly feels sharper, more responsive, and way more exciting to row through the gears. Enthusiasts who install one almost always say it’s the single best bang-for-buck modification they’ve ever done; it completely transforms how connected you feel to the car.

Stock shifters are designed for comfort and ease, long, soft throws that anyone can live with in traffic. A proper short-shifter is built for drivers who actually love driving. The shifts become snappier, more precise, and rewarding; you’ll find yourself looking for excuses to go out and enjoy the car. Yes, it might feel a touch firmer or more notchy than stock, but that’s exactly what lets you place every gear perfectly and shave tenths off your shifts.

If you’re passionate about manuals and want your car to feel alive every time you grab the knob, a short-shifter isn’t just an upgrade; it’s pretty much essential. Most people who try one never go back.

All our short-shifters can be found here.

Yes, absolutely! We can make your short-shifter or handbrake in a range of custom colors because everything is anodized in-house. Just tell us what you’re after and we’ll match it as closely as the anodizing process allows. Anodizing gives that gorgeous durable matte or satin finish that looks factory-perfect and holds up forever, but because it’s an electrochemical process not every color is possible (for example, we can’t do true chrome, gloss black, or pure white the way powder coating can).

Creativity is more than welcome here, it’s what we love doing. Shoot us a message with your idea, we’ll let you know right away if it’s achievable with anodizing and send you some previous examples so you can see exactly how it’s going to look in your car. We’re ready to help whenever you are!

Replacing those rubber bushings with high-quality polyurethane eliminates almost all of that unwanted flex. Our bushings are manufactured from a premium polyurethane compound with durometers typically in the 85–95A range, offering vastly higher stiffness and shape retention while still providing enough compliance to avoid binding.

Here’s exactly what you’ll notice after the swap:

Immediate and linear steering response – the car turns in the moment you move the wheel, with no initial mush
Significantly reduced body roll and dive/squat, giving a much more planted feel even on stock springs and dampers
Precise maintenance of suspension geometry under load, which improves traction during cornering, braking, and acceleration
Greatly enhanced feedback – you can feel exactly what the tires are doing, making it easier to drive at the limit
Anti-roll bars become far more effective because they no longer lose energy twisting soft rubber mounts

The difference is especially dramatic on cars that see track use, spirited driving, or have higher mileage where the original rubber has started to sag and crack.
Yes, there is a small trade-off in comfort. You will transmit a bit more road noise and feel larger impacts more directly, but with our carefully chosen compounds the increase in NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) is kept to an acceptable level for enthusiastic street driving. Most customers describe it as “the car finally feels alive” rather than harsh.Durability is another major advantage. While rubber deteriorates, cracks, and loses its properties within a few years, correctly installed polyurethane bushings will easily last the lifetime of the car with virtually no change in performance.

In short, if you enjoy driving and want your suspension to react instantly and predictably, polyurethane bushings are not just an upgrade – they’re the foundation that lets every other handling modification work properly.

All bushings can be found here.

Technically they are both the same, there is only name and price difference.
